Heart of the Spiral
Three early transmissions documenting collapse moving from the inside out. The mind turning against itself, then the same fracture projected onto the world, then what remains after both have finished speaking.
01 · Body — Heart of the Spiral
The witness believed they were chasing something forward. The direction was down.
"Every step I took, thinking I was free. Turns out I've been following the darker side of me."
"I thought I was chasing you, but you've been leading me down the heart of the spiral."
02 · Pressure — Heart of the Spiral
No outside pressure left to name. The spiral tightens from within, and there is no
exit built into it.
"The shadows follow me, now encompass me. There's no leaving me alone."
"No where can I be free."
03 · Rupture — Cocktails at My House
The fracture, projected outward. Staged as quiet housework, not spectacle.
"Fill it up now, tippy top yeah. Don't forget to wax it off."
"Light it up and show them what you have. Take matters into your own hands."
04 · Temporary Beauty — Cocktails at My House
The justification, and the only tenderness in the record. Contaminated, brief,
still the most human line in the transmission.
"We are just doing what we need to, to ensure the children are around."
05 · Collapse — Last Good Year
What remains after both have finished speaking. No finding logged. The grief is
spatial, not just temporal, waking into a life still furnished with someone who is
gone.
"We live in a world where everything goes away. And in this world, I want you to stay, with me. But this not going to change."
"Because this is my last good year, with or without you my dear."
